With the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love", Humanitarian Month 2025 (taking place from March 1 to May 31) was implemented by Red Cross chapters at all levels with many practical activities and received the participation and support of many organizations and individuals, contributing to spreading good values in the community.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quyen in Hai Thang commune (Tien Lu) is a victim of Agent Orange, poor health, often sick. He received 40 million VND in support from the Provincial Red Cross - the Standing Committee of the Management Board of the Fund for Supporting Victims of Agent Orange caused by the War in Vietnam in Hung Yen province. Mr. Quyen said: I am old, my family is a farmer, the economy is difficult so I do not have the conditions to repair the house. Now with support, I have repaired the walls and the roof. My family's life will be less worried and difficult every time the rainy and stormy season comes because we have a solid house to live in.
Mrs. Ngo Thi Kim in Ngoc Long commune (Yen My) is a household with especially difficult circumstances, her husband died early, her son suffers from mental illness. The life of Mrs. Kim's family, which was already difficult, became even more difficult when her son had to take medicine from the hospital every month for treatment. Her mother and son live in a dilapidated level 4 house that was built a long time ago and has deteriorated.
After surveying and understanding the situation of Mrs. Kim's mother and child, the Yen My District Red Cross supported the family with a breeding calf to make a living. On the day she received the calf, Mrs. Kim could not hide her tears of emotion: I am very happy and grateful for the attention of the Red Cross at all levels for giving my mother and child such a practical gift.
Arriving early at Phu Ung Commune Health Station (An Thi) to participate in the program of medical examination, health consultation and free medicine provision organized by the Provincial Red Cross in coordination with the Provincial Military Command, Ms. Pham Thi Linh, a poor household in Phu Ung Commune, could not hide her joy.
Ms. Linh shared: I am old, live alone, and have difficulty traveling, so I rarely have the opportunity to visit medical facilities at higher levels. Now, doctors and nurses have measured my blood pressure; examined my ears, nose, and throat; provided advice and guidance on how to prevent and treat common diseases; and then received gifts and some medicine to nourish my body. I am very happy. For people in difficult circumstances like my family, the gifts from the Red Cross Association at all levels are very meaningful.
Comrade Vu Tien Dat, Chairman of the An Thi District Red Cross Society, said: In order to promote the spirit of "Mutual love and support" of the nation, in response to the Humanitarian Month in 2025, the District Red Cross Society has stepped up propaganda and mobilized resources with the goal of reaching more than 300 million VND.
