The work of developing participants and implementing social insurance and health insurance policies in Huong Tra town has had many positive changes.

By the end of April 2025, Huong Tra had 1,892 people participating in voluntary social insurance, accounting for 6% of the working-age workforce, 3.5% higher than the target. The number of people participating in health insurance was 65,964, reaching over 98% of the population.

In reality, there is still a small number of people who do not have the conditions to participate or renew their health insurance cards in time, especially people in 4 villages of Binh Tien commune. Although the State budget has supported 70% of the health insurance premium, due to difficult economic conditions, some households still cannot fully participate.

Regarding voluntary social insurance, the number of participants is still low compared to the potential; Every year, a large number of participants leave the social security net; In the first 4 months of 2025 alone, there was a decrease of 56 people compared to December 2024.

In order for social insurance and health insurance to continue to become the pillars of social security, accompanying the people, after the launching ceremony, Huong Tra Town Social Insurance and related forces organized small groups to each household to propagate the role, benefits, and humanity of voluntary social insurance and health insurance policies; disadvantages when workers choose to receive social insurance at one time, leaving the social security net; new points about social insurance and health insurance policies... At the same time, mobilize participation in voluntary social insurance and health insurance with the goal of further improving the coverage of social insurance and health insurance in the area.
