Responding to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025

(ABO) In response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day April 21, 2025, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province has many practical activities.

Through activities to promote the value, affirm the role, position and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking,educating and training human personality. At the same time, encourage and develop the reading movement in schools, agencies, units and communities.

Tien Giang Provincial Library organized a mobile Smart Library trip to serve nearly 200 students at Cho Gao Town Primary School.

Cho Gao District Library in collaboration with Hoa Dinh Primary School organized an exhibition, displaying 800 children's books to introduce students to the world of animals, friendship, filial piety, love, natural phenomena, and the surrounding living environment. With the desire to create a useful playground, providing students with a lot of knowledge from books, as well as practicing the habit of reading books in school and at home.

As part of a series of practical activities to celebrate Book Day on April 21, 2025, the Center for Culture - Sports and Broadcasting of Cho Gao District also coordinated with Tien Giang Provincial Library to organize a Mobile Smart Library trip to serve nearly 200 students at Cho Gao Town Primary School. Participating in the Mobile Smart Library trip, students were able to participate in many useful and fun activities such as being shown science films and cartoons by library staff, freely choosing their favorite comics, fairy tales, and historical stories and reading books directly on the mobile vehicle.

The activities have contributed to developing a reading culture among students, creating conditions for students to access many new books, practice thinking, study to improve knowledge, enhance creativity, basic and necessary skills for students through experiential activities, creating an intellectual and useful space in the school.

In response to Book and Reading Culture Day 2025, students had many meaningful experiences with books. At Cho Gao High School, the "Books - My Friends" Contest attracted over 500 students in grades 10 and 11 of the school to participate. The students were divided into many groups, each group would go to the school library to borrow their favorite book. Then, they would design a short video introducing their favorite book for about 5 minutes, introducing the book title, author's name, publisher, summarizing the main content of the book, drawing out the beneficial effects from the book and expressing their personal feelings about the book.

Through the "Books - My Friends" Contest, in response to the annual Book Festival (April 21), encourage students to read books and see the great spiritual values ​​from books, exploit the rich book resources of the school library and spread the reading movement among students. Cho Gao High School awarded prizes to the winning groups of classes in the "Books - My Friends" Contest for the 2024 - 2025 school year, at the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week in April 2025.

In order for the activities in response to the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day on April 21, 2025 to be truly effective, Cho Gao district has promoted propaganda work in many forms such as on the radio system and the district's electronic information portal. Schools in the area organize Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day according to each theme, promote the reading movement in school libraries combined with extracurricular activities for students, through the contests "We tell book stories", "Books - my friends", and many other activities... Thereby, launching the reading movement and introducing and displaying books with content, topics, and fields suitable for each subject and age of students.
