Last night (November 18), Lank FC entered the match in round 7 of the Portuguese women's football league against Albergaria, the team ranked second to last on the rankings. This is a good opportunity for Lank FC to gain their first point this season after 6 consecutive losses.
Huynh Nhu was injured in the match against Lank FC (Screenshot).
This is Huynh Nhu's first match for Lank FC since returning to wear the Vietnamese women's team jersey in the 2024 Olympic qualifiers. Against a not-so-strong opponent, Lank FC proactively put pressure on the opponent's goal.
However, Lank FC was completely deadlocked throughout the second half. At the beginning of the second half, Huynh Nhu collapsed after a collision and held her face in pain. Slow motion showed that the Vietnamese player sprained his ankle when landing after being hit in the air by an Albergaria player.
While Huynh Nhu was being treated on the sidelines, Albergaria took the opportunity to score the opening goal. The Vietnamese football star then came on but only played for a few more minutes before leaving the field due to too much pain. The extent of Huynh Nhu's injury is currently unknown. She is unlikely to play in the match against Famalicao in the next round.
After Huynh Nhu left the field, Lank FC continued to play deadlocked. Not only that, they also conceded another goal in the final minutes. The match ended with a score of 2-0 in favor of Albergaria. After this defeat, Lank FC continued to rank at the bottom of the table with no points after 7 matches. They are sinking deeper into crisis.
