Connecting FDI enterprises in Hai Phong with domestic supporting enterprises

On the morning of October 31, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board held a conference to connect FDI enterprises in industrial parks and economic zones in the city with domestic supporting enterprises in 2025.

According to the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, by October 2025, industrial parks and economic zones in the city had attracted 1,011 projects with a total foreign investment capital estimated at 42.7 billion USD.

FDI capital sources are shifting from breadth to depth. Many leading corporations in the world are investing in large-scale, high-tech projects such as: LG (10.5 billion USD), Bridgestone (1.22 billion USD), Regina Miracle (1 billion USD), Pegatron (900 million USD)...

The projects not only have large capital sources but also contribute to technology transfer, improving production capacity and shaping the city's key industries and supporting industries.

At the conference, representatives of leaders of FDI enterprises, associations, and city enterprises exchanged and provided information on demand and supply capacity to participate in the production chain of FDI enterprises with the best quality.

Representatives of FDI enterprises and supporting enterprises expressed their desire to implement substantive cooperation; considering this an opportunity to expand supply sources, aiming at stable, quality, and competitive-cost suppliers right on the spot, minimizing dependence on imports.

In addition, domestic supporting enterprises participating in the production supply chain of FDI enterprises and multinational corporations is the shortest and most practical way to "reach international level".

Speaking at the connection conference, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, emphasized that supporting industry is the "link" that determines the depth of localization, the speed of product supply, and the adaptability and recovery of the supply chain.

To participate deeply in the supply chain of FDI enterprises, he suggested that supporting enterprises need to improve their capacity, qualifications, and production technology to meet increasingly high requirements on quality, progress, cost, and compliance with standards and laws.
