Overcoming the situation of fallen trees on Hanoi streets

TPO - On September 12, on the streets of Hanoi , authorities mobilized resources to deal with trees and clear away plants that affected traffic.

From September 12, inner-city districts such as Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, and Dong Da launched a total campaign to deal with trees on traffic routes.

On Phan Chu Trinh street (Hoan Kiem district), maximum forces were mobilized to deal with trees.

In the old quarter of Hoan Kiem district, although many trees have been treated, there are still many trees that have fallen onto the street that have not been treated.

According to the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District, there are a total of 697 fallen, broken, or uprooted trees in the area; so far, over 670 fallen and broken trees have been cut and cleared. Traffic on main roads and central areas is now smooth.

The District People's Committee directed to focus on clearing trees that are dangerous to people's housing projects, in schools, and clearing main roads and connecting dike routes.

The tree trucks ran at full capacity to clean up the streets.

A representative of Dong Da District People's Committee said that 735 trees were broken in the area, and 100% have been restored to date.

Many streets have mobilized civil forces to clean up fallen trees to ensure the requirements set forth by the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.

Previously, on the afternoon of September 8, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed a document on implementing measures to repair and clear broken and fallen trees after storm No. 3 in the area.

The City Chairman requested all units to concentrate all human resources and equipment to remove fallen trees and broken branches to ensure traffic safety. This must be done immediately on main roads and streets in the city, and completed before September 12.

The People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District said that for ancient trees, trees that need to be preserved, rare trees with high economic value, the Green Park Company will coordinate with the Green Tree Company to inspect and evaluate if they can be supported on site and then implement the implementation. In case they cannot be supported, the City will propose to move them to the nursery for care and planting in a suitable location in the City.

Expected to be completed before September 15, clearing the entire area.
