Opening of the Digital Transformation Workshop of An Giang Province in 2025

The workshop is meaningful, demonstrating the high political determination of An Giang province in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Action Program No. 02-CTr/TU of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee on science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; is one of the key events in the series of events responding to the National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) organized by the Provincial People's Committee to respond to the Innovation Festival and National Digital Transformation Day 2025 in the province.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, said that digital transformation is an inevitable trend of the times, a key driving force for countries, localities and businesses to make breakthroughs in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Recently, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of An Giang province have issued many programs, plans and projects for implementation until 2025 and orientation to 2030, especially paying attention to arranging basic funding to meet requirements.

According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, the province's digital platforms have been widely deployed.

Community digital technology teams in localities have become an “extended arm” of the government, bringing technology closer to the people. Digital government is gradually taking shape; digital economy is being promoted to develop strongly in the fields of trade, tourism, and agriculture; digital society is increasingly present in education, health care, and social security.

However, the process of digital transformation in practice still faces many difficulties and shortcomings; requiring high political determination, synchronous action, and the cooperation of the entire political system, the business community and the entire population, especially investment resources from the budget and enterprises.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province requested agencies, units, and localities to connect with businesses and experts to form problems and digital solutions suitable for each field.

The workshop organizing committee synthesized and selected valuable opinions to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct and supplement the province's digital transformation tasks in the coming development period, including proposals to the Provincial Party Committee and central ministries and branches.

At the workshop, scientists and businesses shared models, experiences and digital technology solutions in developing digital infrastructure, digital platforms, artificial intelligence (AI) to serve digital government, digital economy and digital society; solutions to ensure network information security, protect data of organizations and individuals in the digital transformation process...

Representatives of all levels, sectors and localities in An Giang province learned more about the role and significance of the Digital Transformation process at present and in the future.

Also at the workshop, 15 enterprises operating in the fields of digital technology, digital infrastructure, post, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence (AI) inside and outside An Giang province exhibited and displayed products, solutions, and application models related to digital transformation, digital data, digital infrastructure, and AI.
