On August 26, at the Dak Lak Provincial Sports Stadium, the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening ceremony of the Dak Lak Provincial Sports Festival for Civil Servants, Public Employees and Workers in 2024.
The Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags to the delegations participating in the Sports Festival.
The sports festival had the participation of 1,150 athletes from 20 direct superior trade unions and 10 grassroots trade unions under the Central Trade Unions located in the province. The athletes competed in 29 sets of medals in the following sports: badminton, table tennis, men's volleyball, women's volleyball, sack jumping, tug of war and tennis.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Sports Festival, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival, Le Van Thanh, asked the athletes to compete with the spirit of sportsmanship, solidarity, honesty, nobility, and to make every effort as well as to strictly comply with and follow the direction of the referees, contributing to the success of the Sports Festival.

The sports festival will take place until August 28. This is a meaningful and practical activity to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024), and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024). Thereby, creating a healthy and useful playground for civil servants, public employees, and workers to exchange, learn, and promote the movement of physical exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho in agencies and units.
