Opening of the exhibition space "King Ham Nghi, his life and art"

In order to introduce to the public the life and career of the patriotic king and talented artist - Ham Nghi (1871-1944), on the afternoon of January 10, 2023, at the Te Tuu House - Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center held the opening of the exhibition space "King Ham Nghi, life and art".

With nearly 100 photos, documents and 31 copies of works of art including paintings and statues created by King Ham Nghi in Algiers, especially the oil painting on canvas created by the king in 1900 - 1903, titled "Lac des Alpes" (roughly translated: Lake on the Alps), the exhibition has provided the public with valuable information about the life of King Ham Nghi from the time he ascended the throne, during the period of resistance against the French and the period of exile in Algiers.

In this space, in addition to the content presented visually, visitors can also learn about the life of King Ham Nghi through the application of modern technology such as: Transparent LCD screen, hand movement recognition device, through which it is possible to directly interact to learn information, or with 3D digitized artifacts visually... The application of technology not only allows to remove the distance between artifacts and viewers but also helps to express more deeply in terms of information about artifacts, allowing for multiple approaches to display, making a strong impression on visitors, in line with the development trend of modern museums.

In addition to Long An Palace and Cham Room, the opening of the exhibition space “King Ham Nghi, his life and art” at Te Tuu House, Hue Royal Antiquities Museum contributes to promoting heritage values, helping visitors learn more about the life and career of the 8th king of the Nguyen Dynasty. And this will also be the place to organize experience programs, historical education, heritage for domestic and international students.
