The 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day - 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City takes place from April 19 to May 2, with the peak from April 25 to 27 at Binh Tan Book Street, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, Thu Duc City Book Street, Cu Chi District Book Space and simultaneously held in Thu Duc City and 21 districts, in school areas and armed forces with more than 300 activities and events.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that the organization of the welcoming book fair and the climax activities at Binh Tan Book Street is one of the highlights of the 4th city-level Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day.
This is one of the typical emulation works of the city's publishing industry to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; at the same time, it demonstrates the attention, policies and orientations of the city's leaders, authorities at all levels, and those working in publishing with the determination to aim for the common goal of spreading reading culture in the community, which is a new step forward, helping to improve the quality of life for the people.

According to information from the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 will have some highlights such as displaying and introducing versions of the work "Duong Kach Menh" and newly published and reprinted books to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
Some typical programs will take place such as: Exchange program of the book series "Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City Heritage" and French-Indochinese architecture traces of "Saigon - Pearl of the Far East"; exchange program, book launch "Reading the history of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City in one breath"; exchange program to launch the book "From Ben Hai River to Independence Palace"; exchange program to launch the book "100 years of Tan Son Nhat airport"...
Following the success of Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, Thu Duc City Book Street aims to expand the development of reading culture to the west of the city. Along with the groundbreaking of Nguyen Dong Chi Book Street, District 7, the inauguration of Binh Tan Book Street and Cu Chi Book Space will be inaugurated in the near future. Ho Chi Minh City will have a system of book streets and book spaces in the east, west, south and north directions. This is a unique feature of Ho Chi Minh City culture in general and reading culture in particular.
