Opening of the thematic exhibition "Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)" and "Vietnamese Literature and Arts - 50 Years of Innovation and Development (1975 - 2025)"

On the morning of April 23, at the Provincial Museum, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Bac Giang Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)" and "Vietnamese Literature and Arts - 50 Years of Innovation and Development (1975 - 2025)". Attending the program were comrades: Mai Son, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Truong Quang Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Si Cam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Tuan Khuong, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations of the province; central and local press agencies; artists, researchers, and a large number of cadres, teachers, students and people in the province.

The exhibition is held on the first floor of the Provincial Museum, including two main contents:

Comrade Nguyen Si Cam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism delivered the opening speech.

Part 1 with the theme “Historical Moments – Great Victory of Spring 1975”, Ho Chi Minh Campaign - the final strategic battle in the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring 1975, when the Liberation Army troops attacked rapidly and fiercely from five directions, tightening the siege, determined to completely liberate the South. The moment tank number 390 crashed through the main gate of the Independence Palace at noon on April 30, 1975, the Liberation flag fluttered on the roof of the Palace, becoming a sacred symbol of national independence. Closing more than 20 years of arduous resistance, opening a new era - an era of peace, independence, unity and development. The exhibition introduces more than 50 precious documentary photos and nearly 40 typical original artifacts recreating the heroic spirit of the entire nation in this important historical moment.

Part 2 with the theme "Vietnamese Literature and Arts - 50 years of innovation and development" , the Organizing Committee has selected to introduce nearly 300 images of Vietnamese writers and poets who won the Ho Chi Minh Prize and images of Vietnamese literature and arts 50 years after the country's reunification. Of which, there are more than 150 artifacts which are publications and literary books of typical Vietnamese writers and poets, nearly 100 photos won prizes in the photo contest on culture, tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Bac Giang province. These are valuable documents, images, and artifacts, proving the achievements of Vietnamese literature and arts through the ages and the contributions of Bac Giang Literature and Arts to the common achievements of literature and arts of the whole country.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee carried out an experience activity of creating propaganda paintings with the theme "Peace and Development", attracting the participation of students of the art department of the Provincial College of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and students of high schools and secondary schools in Bac Giang city. At the end of the experience activity, the Organizing Committee awarded one First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes and five Encouragement Prizes for works that met the rules and were of high quality.

The thematic exhibition lasts from April 23 to May 20, 2025, contributing to the propaganda and education of historical and revolutionary traditions, arousing patriotism, national pride and responsibility of the young generation in the cause of building and developing the homeland and country.
