The world of domestic workers – a “hot” topic after many recent “shocking” incidents in public opinion about domestic workers and their employers – is explored in detail in the film “Rainbow on the Horizon”. Regarding this film, the producer said, “Rainbow on the Horizon” revolves around two single-parent families living next to each other in the same apartment building. Tuan - a single father - takes care of his young daughter while shouldering the responsibility for his senile old father. Oanh - a single mother struggling to raise her child amidst the pressure of making a living. Their already difficult life is further disrupted when Tuan's family's long-time maid resigns, leading to a series of "half-crying, half-laughing" disturbances. The appearance of Tuyet - the new maid - not only saves the situation but also causes a series of unexpected, humorous and touching situations to explode.

Next door, Nga - Oanh's maid - is also not willing to be "outdone" in creating drama. From two women who seemed to be just background, Tuyet and Nga became reluctant "matchmakers", unintentionally bringing Tuan and Oanh - two people who had lost faith in love - closer together.

The world of the elderly and the lives of maids are explored in the TV series "Rainbow on the Horizon".

Sharing about this film project, editor Lai Phuong Thao said, “Rainbow on the Horizon” does not tell a story of brilliant youthful love but rather the late but profound love of those who have stumbled in marriage. The film also brings gentle, charming laughter from the life of a domestic worker - a seemingly simple job but full of thoughts. The film raises many issues surrounding the role of domestic workers in operating modern family life, especially young families, with many concerns about how to treat domestic workers such as considering them as simple employees or family members, especially when they spend more time living with the employer's family than their own family?

Along with the above stories, “Rainbow on the Horizon” is an emotional journey about family and the loneliness of the elderly. There, Mr. Dung - Tuan's father - with his senile expressions in old age is a story with many common concerns of elderly parents. They do not need to be rich, but need to be listened to and close to their children and grandchildren. Watching the film, the audience may encounter themselves - sometimes a heartless person, sometimes lonely even in the middle of a crowded city.
