Dances of indigenous people on the occasion of the opening ceremony of Ham Heo community tourism area

Previously in 2020, Phong Dien Town invested nearly 3 billion VND to build items at the O Lau "Heo Tunnel" upstream eco-tourism site, including: Guest house, kitchen, toilet, electricity, water, parking lot, car-avoiding points and roads down to the stream... Last year, the city continued to support investment in additional entertainment and check-in spots and a 7m wide, more than 1km long concrete road to the Heo Tunnel tourist area with a budget of more than 6.5 billion VND.

It is known that since the city's Decision to recognize the community ecotourism site of O Lau Upstream (Ham Heo), on average in the summer, this place attracts 500 to 700 visitors per day for sightseeing, entertainment, and bathing in the stream. Especially on holidays and weekends, it welcomes nearly 1,000 visitors per day. To date, Ham Heo has 19 registered business households with more than 20 shops, creating jobs for nearly 200 local workers with stable income.

Attending the opening ceremony, Mr. Doan Ky Coi, Standing Deputy Secretary of Phong Dien Town Party Committee, said that Ham Heo eco-tourism site is a place connecting stream tourist sites such as A Don, Khe Me... and historical sites in the old war zone. Putting Ham Heo eco-tourism site into operation is a great effort of local authorities at all levels, in which Phong My Commune People's Committee has built regulations and rules to manage and support units and individuals participating in service business activities to attract more and more tourists to visit, have fun and entertain.
