Starting from the end of October, the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy (Hanoi) organizes a night tour of the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy called "The Quintessence of Daoism". The new tour aims to promote the unique values of Daoism of the special national relic site of the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy, which is considered the first university of Vietnam.
The “Quintessence of Dao Hoc” night tour opens from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. This is the fourth night tour in Hanoi , after the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Night Tour, Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Vietnam Literature Museum, aiming to bring visitors new experiences, different from visiting relics during the day. In the evening, the architectural works and heritage spaces in the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam become more impressive and sparkling than usual, but still retain the profound and delicate features of the place considered the first national school in Vietnam.

According to Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Center for Cultural Science and Technology of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, implementing the policy of developing the night economy , while creating new products to attract tourists to the relic, the Center has built the product of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam Night Experience. After a long time of incubation, this special experience program has been completed and is preparing the final stages to be ready for launch, promising to open up a mysterious and sophisticated space of a heritage site. The difference of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam Night Experience tour is in the use of technology and light, not using the form of dramatization. From the main gate to the Thai Hoc house, each area has a story associated with Vietnamese philosophy. With the spirit of the night tour must promote the value of the special national relic, promote morality, the highlight of the tour is in the Thai Hoc yard, when visitors can watch a 3D Mapping performance about stories related to the oldest university in Vietnam when expressing the topics: Examination school, the old scholars, related to the will, the dream of passing, studying, carp turning into dragon, and the difficulties and challenges that each person needs to overcome... or the architectural works of the relic will be present in the product introduced to visitors.When night falls, the entire relic space will be transformed and dressed in a completely different coat by the modern lighting and projection system. The night experience tour will bring visitors an impressive architectural relic and heritage space, more sparkling than usual, but still retaining the profound and delicate features of the place that was considered the first national school under the monarchy.

The entire area of the relic site will be divided into 5 areas with different names for the convenience of visitors. Including: Introductory Area; Successful Area; Doctoral Stele Garden Area; Great Achievement Area and finally the Thai Hoc Area.
The most special highlight of the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy Night Tour will be in the last area, Thai Hoc yard. Here will take place the 3D Mapping Show "The Quintessence of Taoism", inspired by the unique elements at the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy associated with the Taoism of the Vietnamese people throughout the centuries.
During the journey to explore the Temple of Literature at night, visitors can also experience virtual reality glasses and enjoy traditional art performances. The art products are installed to clearly express the program's messages, which is to honor Vietnamese intelligence.
