Inauguration of 2 projects connecting the marine economy in Binh Thuan

The inauguration ceremony was held under the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, in the form of direct and online simultaneous in all 3 regions of North - Central - South, connecting online from the main bridge point of Ho Chi Minh City to all works and projects.

Attending the Binh Thuan bridge were Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, leaders of several central ministries, departments and agencies, and leaders of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces.

The DT.719B coastal road project was approved by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province in Decisions No. 1401/QD-UBND dated June 18, 2020, 2801/QD-UBND dated December 29, 2023 and 1918/QD-UBND dated November 1, 2024. The length of the road is about 17.8km, the roadbed width is 28m, the road surface width is 16m.

The starting point of the project intersects with National Highway 1 at Km1710+500, Ham My commune, Ham Thuan Nam district; the end point of Suoi Nhum bridge (intersection with Ham Minh - Thuan Quy road), Thuan Quy commune, Ham Thuan Nam district. The total investment is 933 billion VND from the central budget and the provincial budget. The project started construction at the end of November 2020 and was completed on April 10, 2025.

The Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh road project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decisions No. 1409/QD-UBND dated June 19, 2020, 1069/QD-UBND dated May 4, 2021 and 1918/QD-UBND dated November 1, 2024. The project has a route length of about 7.7km, roadbed width of 37m, road surface width of 16m, starting point intersecting with National Highway 1 at Km1717+593, Ham Kiem commune, Ham Thuan Nam district; ending point intersecting with DT.719B road at Km6+800, Tien Thanh commune, Phan Thiet city. The project has a total investment of 420 billion VND from the provincial budget.

Binh Thuan provincial leaders give gifts to households who actively participate in project site handover

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Do Huu Huy said that the two roads invested and put into use on schedule have important significance in the economic development of the province.

The two routes not only facilitate people's travel and transport of goods, but also play a special role in connecting major tourist destinations such as Ke Ga area with Tien Thanh commune, Mui Ne (Phan Thiet). The routes put into use help create a complete traffic network.

Coastal route DT.719B, once put into use, will help connect traffic and develop the marine economy.

In addition, the route from Ham Kiem to Tien Thanh (connecting National Highway 1 to DT.719B) contributes to the formation of a synchronous coastal traffic chain, creating favorable conditions for economic development, trade of goods, and promoting the development of marine tourism in the province. The route will help shorten travel time between coastal tourist destinations, attract a large number of tourists, and increase investment attraction in this area.

At the inauguration ceremony, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province also commended and presented gifts to 20 households in the project area who had made many positive contributions, relocated assets, and supported the locality in promptly handing over the site so that the road could be constructed on schedule.
