The Xa Tac Pagoda Tower was built on an area of about 80m², with 9 floors and a height of 31m. The project was designed by the Center for Monuments and Architectural Heritage Conservation - National Institute of Architecture, in an architectural style imbued with the traditional Vietnamese Buddhist identity. In particular, inside the Tower, a solemn space was designed to worship the statue of King Tran Nhan Tong - an outstanding wise king, great thinker, founder of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect - a spiritual and intellectual symbol of Vietnamese Buddhism.
The stupa is located in the historical and cultural relic complex of Xa Tac Temple and Pagoda and Border Marker 1368 - located on the Ka Long River, will be an architectural highlight, contributing to expanding the space for cultural and religious activities for the people. This will also be an attractive spiritual tourist destination, contributing to promoting Vietnamese culture, spreading the spirit of solidarity, patriotism, goodness and preserving traditional national values.
The completion of the Xa Tac Pagoda Tower project not only meets the religious and spiritual needs of the people, but also completes the cultural institutions in the border area, contributing to affirming the national cultural and spiritual sovereignty milestone.
With its spiritual, historical and cultural values, the Xa Tac Pagoda Stupa was selected by Mong Cai City as one of three typical works to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
