When will Apple officially release iOS 18?

At the special event "It's Glowtime" that just ended, Apple announced four versions of iPhone 16 along with a series of new AirPods and Apple Watch headphones.

In addition, the iPhone manufacturer also said that the iOS 18 operating system will be released on September 16, bringing new features to users such as customizing the Home Screen, redesigning the Control Center and more specifically, Apple Intelligence.

Thus, on September 16, iPhone users compatible with iOS 18 operating system can go to Settings > General > Software Update to update this new version.

Here are the iPhone models compatible with iOS 18: iPhone XR, iPhone XS and XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15, 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

All four versions of iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have iOS 18 pre-installed by Apple. Notably, Apple Intelligence only applies to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max duo and the iPhone 16 series due to high configuration requirements.
