
Over the past 3 days, Ha Tinh has had heavy and very heavy rains, leading to flooding in many areas, affecting teaching and learning. Therefore, the Ha Tinh Department of Education and Training has instructed schools to allow students to stay home from school based on the development of the flood situation to ensure safety.
As of 9:00 a.m. on October 31, Ha Tinh province had 51 out of 676 educational establishments, with a total of 36,768 students absent from school to cope with the floods. Of these, 41 preschool, primary and secondary schools had 25,833 students; 6 high schools had 8,612 students; 2 continuing education centers had 948 students; 2 intermediate and college schools had 1,375 students.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province has directed units to regularly monitor and grasp the situation of floods and flood risks; promptly inform all cadres, teachers, staff and students to proactively prevent and promptly notify school closures if necessary to ensure absolute safety. Units organize and arrange forces to be on duty 24/24 hours, proactively carry out flood and rain duty, transport furniture, preserve facilities and teaching equipment; at the same time, ensure communication, regular and ad hoc reporting; promptly clean classrooms, disinfect, and clean the environment after the water recedes to organize teaching and learning again.
