The project to renovate the landscape and urban embellishment of both banks of the Van River (from Lim Bridge to Van Giang Bridge), Van Giang Ward, is not only an urban infrastructure project, but also helps preserve and honor the historical and cultural values associated with the Van River, which is a place connecting the modern and the past, between today's urban life and the spirit of the Dinh - Tien Le - Ly dynasties of the past.
The project was approved by the City People's Council in its investment policy in Resolution No. 11, dated March 1, 2024, and the City People's Committee approved the project in Decision No. 1610, dated March 27, 2025, with the scale of investment in construction and urban landscape improvement of the areas on both sides of the Van River from Lim Bridge to Van Giang Bridge, Bien Bach Lake area, Ninh Phong Ward railway overpass area; renovating and upgrading roads, intersections and related technical infrastructure on the route with a total length of 2,359m, including: Duong Van Nga Street, Le Dai Hanh Street, Le Duan Street and the intersection east of Lim Bridge. The total investment of the project is 710 billion VND from the city budget.
With important significance, the Landscape Renovation and Urban Beautification Project on both banks of the Van River, Van Giang Ward was chosen by Hoa Lu City as a project to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
The project aims to build Hoa Lu city to be increasingly bright - green - clean - beautiful, while restoring - honoring - preserving the unique historical and cultural space of the land of "geomancy and talented people", in line with the urban development orientation of the province, contributing to building Ninh Binh province into a centrally-run city with the characteristics of a millennium heritage urban area.
The implementation of the Project not only contributes to improving the ecological environment but also creates a community living space, promoting the development of tourism and services in the locality.
At the ceremony, delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to renovate the landscape and urban area on both banks of the Van River (from Lim Bridge to Van Giang Bridge), Van Giang Ward, Hoa Lu City.
