To ensure the construction work is on schedule, of quality and safety, comrade Tran Hong Thai directed the local Party Committee and authorities to prioritize human resources to promptly handle the work to create the most favorable conditions for investors and construction units to implement the project; strengthen the work of mobilizing people in the project area to support and coordinate in site clearance work to promptly hand over the site to the construction unit.

The project has a total investment of about 17,718 billion VND, with a length of about 73.62 km. Phase 1 of the project has a scale of 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 17m. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highly appreciated the efforts and consensus of the Party Committee, government and people of Lam Dong province to start construction of the expressway.

He directed: “The current Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, as well as the new Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee (from July 1, 2025), must focus on directing investors, supervisory consultants and contractors to promote the highest sense of responsibility, and implement the Project to ensure progress, quality and safety. The Secretary and Chairman of the province must identify this as the top political task, directly direct and concentrate all resources to complete the site clearance for the entire 610 hectares of the project as soon as possible. During the implementation process, special attention must be paid to resettlement work and support for stabilizing production for the people. The Party and State's viewpoint must be consistently implemented: ensuring that the new residence and new livelihood of the people must be equal to and better than the old place."

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh also requested the investor to uphold responsibility, focus all financial resources, human resources, the most modern equipment and machinery, organize construction with the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", "eating quickly, sleeping urgently", "working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts", to complete the project in 30 months as committed.

He also directed the Ministry of Construction, Finance, Agriculture and Environment, relevant agencies and localities to take part in the spirit of service, companionship, proactively handling procedural, mechanism and policy problems within their authority as quickly as possible, with the spirit of "only discussing, not backtracking". Absolutely do not let the project be delayed due to administrative procedures or lack of coordination between agencies.

Once completed, the project will fundamentally and permanently resolve the problem of frequent congestion and overload, which is considered a "bottleneck" on the existing National Highway 20. More importantly, it will not only shorten travel time but also activate and maximize the efficiency of the sections that have been and are being invested in, such as Dau Giay - Tan Phu, Tan Phu - Bao Loc. The value of the project lies not only in its 74 km, but in the fact that it unleashes the potential for the entire strategic economic corridor of hundreds of kilometers, creating new growth momentum for the entire region.
