Coming to Ninh Tien ( Ninh Binh city) today, we were amazed by the spacious and synchronous infrastructure system, the village roads and alleys are concreted and paved flat. The lighting system and security cameras on the commune roads are fully equipped. On both sides of the roads to the villages are rows of flower trees, green trees, clean and beautiful. The villages are also decorated with flower pots, colorful gardens, exuding the unique beauty of the rich countryside.

Determining that new rural construction has only a starting point and no end, in 2021, Ninh Tien commune was recognized as meeting new rural standards. After only 2 years, 19/19 criteria for advanced rural construction were met, and the people's satisfaction rate with the results of advanced rural construction reached over 99.7%.

As one of three communes in the belt of Ninh Binh city, Ninh Tien has many potentials and strengths in economic and social development. Promoting these advantages, the local Party Committee and government have mobilized people to contribute their labor and money to build their homeland. After 2 years of implementation, the commune has now achieved the advanced NTM standard. The appearance of the homeland is increasingly improving, and people's lives are more prosperous and happy.

In Hoang Son village, the main source of income for the people is mainly based on agricultural production, but when the commune launched the movement to build advanced new rural areas, people voluntarily supported funds and contributed working days to build their homeland. In addition, to create a green, clean and beautiful landscape, families in the village actively participated in the model "Clean house, beautiful garden", renovating their houses, planting flowers and ornamental plants, regularly cleaning the village roads and alleys to create a bright, green, clean and beautiful space.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Thuy, Head of Hoang Son village, Ninh Tien commune, said: Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the village has mobilized people to actively participate in the movement, voluntarily contributing working days to build rural roads and renovate village roads and alleys. Many families have voluntarily donated land to widen roads as well as supported funding for construction. The movement has attracted a large number of people to participate, creating a wide spread. Thanks to that, the face of the countryside has changed significantly. The long concrete roads connecting villages have been formed to facilitate trade, creating conditions for households to expand production and business, and strive to get rich.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Khuyen, Hoang Son village said: As a son born and raised in Ninh Tien homeland from the difficult days, he could not help but be moved and happy at the changes of his homeland today. Thanks to the new rural construction program, the people of his hometown who had a difficult time now have a prosperous life, and their children are successful in their studies.

Ninh Tien flourishes — New rural appearance of Ninh Tien today.

Before the commune was merged into Ninh Binh city, Ninh Tien was a suburban commune with underdeveloped economic conditions. However, after more than 10 years of building a new rural area, then an advanced new rural area, I see that the locality has had clear changes, the quality of life of the people and the infrastructure have changed dramatically, now people no longer have to leave their hometown to find jobs. The economy has developed, cultural and spiritual life has been improved, people actively participate in local cultural and artistic movements. This is an achievement in the process of building a new rural area in the locality.

Ninh Tien determined that if the local economy is to develop, the key task is to invest in building a synchronous, spacious and modern traffic infrastructure. Many traffic routes have been invested in and expanded, such as: Upgrading and expanding Nguyen Huu An Street and installing a lighting system from the Commune People's Committee to Co Loan Ha Village, building a main drainage system on Hai Thuong Lao Ong Street from Do Thien Canal to Nguyen Huu An Street; renovating the inter-commune road through Hoang Son Village from Hoang Son Bridge to Khe Ha Bridge; building a drainage system between Co Loan Trung 1 and Co Loan Trung 2 villages; drainage culverts on the southern road of Phuc Son 1 and 2 villages; drainage culverts from Hoang Son Dong Cultural House to Chanh River. After 2 years of implementation, the commune has received 125 tons of cement, built and upgraded 5 rural traffic routes.

Currently, in the commune, there are nearly 48 km of asphalted, concreted, and hardened roads. The rate of hardened main roads in the fields to meet the requirements of production and transportation of goods is 100%. The State's cement support has motivated people to actively participate in contributing funds to expand roads, plant flowers and trees to ensure that they meet the criteria of advanced rural areas.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, Chairman of Ninh Tien Commune People's Committee, said: Not satisfied with the results achieved, after being recognized as a commune meeting the NTM standards, the Party Committee, government and people started to focus on building an advanced NTM commune. Thanks to good mass mobilization work in mobilizing people to participate in contributing labor and money to renovate and upgrade infrastructure. Up to now, the appearance of the countryside has changed significantly, village roads are bright, green, clean and beautiful, people's awareness has been raised, national cultural identity has been preserved and promoted, and the economic structure has been shifted towards safety and sustainability. At the end of 2023, the commune was recognized as meeting the advanced NTM standards. This result is a premise and motivation for Ninh Tien commune to continue to make efforts and strive to become a ward by the end of 2024.

In order to increase income and improve people's lives, Ninh Tien also focuses on exploiting its advantages and unique characteristics to replicate models with high economic efficiency such as: growing taro for shoots, raising snails, raising chickens... In particular, 2 products of chrysanthemum tea and chrysanthemum tea meet 3-star OCOP product standards. In addition, the commune also creates all favorable conditions to develop service industries and professions, contributing to increasing income and creating jobs for local workers. Currently, the whole commune has 56 production and business enterprises attracting over 700 workers, bringing in an average income of 5-7 million VND/month. In 2023, the rate of poor and near-poor households in the commune will account for 0.8%.

From a poor commune of Ninh Binh city, but with the spirit of solidarity and determination of the Party Committee, the government, the people in the commune joined hands and wholeheartedly donated land, working days, and money to clear the ground, expand and upgrade roads, and beautify the urban area... with a total cost of over 120 billion VND. By the end of 2023, Ninh Tien commune will have no outstanding debt for basic construction.
