Prosecuted and temporarily detained 3 subjects for buying, selling, storing, and organizing illegal use of drugs

The Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police said that the unit has just issued decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue detention orders for 3 accused: Nguyen Trong Phuc (born in 2001, Dong Thinh 5 Hamlet, My Phuoc Ward) for the crime of "Illegal trading of narcotics"; Le Ngoc Tuan (born in 1998, residing in Nguyen Du Hamlet), My Binh Ward, Long Xuyen City for the crime of "Illegal possession of narcotics" and Dinh Van An (born in 1998, residing in Hoa Binh Commune, Cho Moi District) for the crime of "Organizing illegal use of narcotics".

Evidence seized by police

According to information from the police agency, at about 4:00 a.m. on May 6, 2025, Hoa Binh Commune Police organized a patrol to ensure security and order in the area. When arriving at Group 7 (An Thuan Hamlet), they discovered that Tuan and Pham Thanh Thai (born in 2009, residing in Binh Hoa 2 Hamlet, My Khanh Commune, Long Xuyen City) were driving a motorbike on the road with suspicious signs, so they signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection. During the inspection, Tuan secretly threw a nylon bag containing methamphetamine inside to the ground. After a quick investigation, Tuan confessed that before being discovered and arrested, Tuan had just used methamphetamine at An's house with some people, and that the methamphetamine that was thrown to the ground was bought by Tuan from Phuc to use.

Expanding the investigation, Hoa Binh Commune Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (Provincial Police) to arrest An and Phuc, and urgently searched Phuc's residence, discovering and seizing 9 transparent nylon bags containing crystal methamphetamine inside, weighing about more than 10 grams; 1 small scale, 5 mobile phones and 11 million VND, along with a number of related items used for buying, selling and using drugs.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled according to the provisions of law.
