Prosecution and temporary detention of director and accountant of mineral exploitation company in Hoa Binh

On June 13, the Investigation Police Agency (Economic Police Department), Hoa Binh Provincial Police initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Nguyen Van Day - Director and Bui Yen Khanh - Accountant, Phat Dat One Member Limited Liability Company to investigate the act of violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences.

The investigation agency initially determined that Phat Dat One Member Limited Liability Company exploited and processed limestone for common construction materials according to Mineral License No. 100/QD-UBND dated December 10, 2009 issued by the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province. The mining capacity according to raw products is 30,000 m3/year; the output of finished stone is 37,500 m3/year.

During the process of mining and processing minerals, the company exploited an estimated 305.37m3 of raw stone, but reported and declared dishonestly the amount of stone exploited; falsified accounting documents, intentionally provided and confirmed false accounting information and data, causing tax losses to the state of billions of dong.

The Investigation Police Agency, Hoa Binh Provincial Police are continuing to consolidate documents and files, urgently investigating the case according to the provisions of law.
