According to information from the police, at about 8:40 a.m. on March 13, 2025, the drug crime investigation police force of the provincial police coordinated with the Cho Moi town police to patrol and control to ensure security and order in the area. When they arrived at the Thi 2 hamlet area (Cho Moi town), they discovered Pham Minh Qui standing on the street with suspicious signs, so they conducted an administrative check. Through the inspection, the police force discovered and seized a package of methamphetamine (Methamphetamine) on Qui's person, weighing 0.3148 grams. Through working at the police station, Qui confessed to buying the above amount of methamphetamine from the couple Le Thi Nhi and Phan Van Son.

Expanding the investigation, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police arrested Nhi and Son. Through searching the residence of Nhi and Son, the police seized 5.4406 grams of methamphetamine and many other related items and tools. Through questioning, Nhi and Son admitted their crimes.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police.
