Prosecution of illegal dumping of hundreds of tons of industrial waste

(CPV) - During the production of hot asphalt concrete, a business in Ha Nam illegally discharged nearly 412 tons of industrial waste into the environment. For this act, the authorities have initiated a case of "Causing environmental pollution".

On June 14, information from Ha Nam Provincial Police said that they had initiated a case of "Causing environmental pollution" at the Branch of Long Nguyet Traffic Construction Company Limited, located in Dong Ao village, Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Liem district.

At the same time, prosecuted Pham Quang Son (born in 1969; residing in Times City urban area, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi ), Deputy Director of the Company, and Nguyen Huu Tuan (born in 1980; residing in Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi), Manager of the Company's concrete mixing station, for the act of discharging waste into the environment in violation of regulations.

According to the Environmental Police Department of Ha Nam Provincial Police, in early April 2023, this unit coordinated with the Thanh Thuy commune government and relevant agencies to successfully dismantle the case, catching the Long Nguyet Traffic Construction Company Limited Branch in the act of illegally dumping nearly 412 tons of industrial waste into the environment during the production of hot asphalt concrete.

During the investigation, the police identified Pham Quang Son, Deputy Director of the Company, and Nguyen Huu Tuan, Manager of the Company's Mixing Station, as the people who directly committed the above-mentioned illegal acts.

The case is currently being investigated by Ha Nam Provincial Police and is being processed in accordance with the law./.
