Following the success of the 2022 season, the 2023 Vietnam Powerlifting Championship will take place with qualifying rounds held at two locations: Hanoi from July 15 to 16 and Da Nang on August 19. The national finals are scheduled to be held in Hanoi on December 9. Powerlifting is a strength competition in which athletes perform three tests (weightlifting, bench press, and pull-up) and the total results of the three tests are calculated to find the champion of each event.

The women's events at the 2023 Vietnam Powerlifting Championship attract the attention of fans.

VPF Hanoi Qualifier 2023 attracts 122 athletes from 13 provinces and cities including: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Cao Bang , Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh. Athletes compete in 18 weight categories for men and women.

The Vietnam Powerlifting Federation is the only federation in Vietnam under the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) that has the right to send athletes to compete in regional and world tournaments. Since joining the IPF in 2018, VPF has organized 3 national tournaments, the most recent of which took place in 2020 and attracted more than 100 athletes, 200 spectators and 3,000 spectators via social media platforms.

On July 16, VPF Hanoi Qualifier 2023 took place with many attractive contents.
