2024 ITF Asia U14 Tennis Championships Kicks Off

The tournament is organized under the coordination of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the Asian Tennis Federation, the Vietnam Tennis Federation. In addition, there is the support of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province and the companionship of Hanaka Group Joint Stock Company.

The tournament has the participation of more than 70 athletes and coaches from 14 countries and territories including: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Japan, Laos, Macau (China), Maldives, Mongolia, Singapore, Timor Leste, Sri Lanka and host Vietnam. According to the tournament regulations, teams are allowed to register 2 male players and 3 female players for each event.

The tournament was attended by many athletes and coaches.

The tournament will feature four events: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles and Women's Doubles, divided into two phases. Phase 1 will take place from January 8 to 12, with the finals taking place on January 12. Phase 2 of the tournament will take place from January 13 to 18. The finals and closing ceremony are scheduled for January 18, 2024. The top two teams from South Asia, East Asia and Southeast Asia will qualify for the U14 International Development Tennis Championships in India from April 8 to 17.

Regarding the Vietnamese team, this year's tournament has the participation of 2 male athletes: Le Tien Anh, Vu Tuan Phong and 3 female athletes: To Binh Nhien, Huynh Ngoc Khanh and Nguyen Ngoc Dong Nhi. Notably, there is the participation of tennis player Le Tien Anh - a young player who recently won the U14 championship of the National Youth Tennis Tournament - Nam Long Cup 2023 taking place in October 2023. Tennis player Le Tien Anh is also the number 1 seed in the men's singles event.

With potential young players in both the men's and women's categories, the Vietnamese team has a great opportunity to participate in the U14 Finals of the International Tennis Development Tournament in India. In addition to achievements, the tournament will be a place for young Vietnamese players to compete, gain experience as well as improve their personal scores on the rankings.
