On May 28, TASS quoted Oleksandr Savchuk, head of the press center of the Center group, as reporting that the Ukrainian army's attempts to regain lost positions in the Nevsky and Serebryansky forests were thwarted by Russian air power and artillery.
“Nationalists from the 66th Mechanized Brigade and the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to regain lost positions by carrying out attacks in the Nevsky area and the Serebryansky Forest . As a result of airstrikes and artillery fire from the Central Group, the enemy suffered significant personnel losses,” TASS quoted Oleksandr Savchuk as saying.
Russian air force and artillery have stopped the counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Nevsky area and Serebryansky forest.
Oleksandr Savchuk also noted that Su-34 fighters of the Center group carried out airstrikes on enemy positions in the Serebryansky area. Solntsepek heavy flamethrower systems were also used to destroy several weapons depots and positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Mr. Solntsepek added that the Tor-M1 and Strela-10 air defense missile systems successfully destroyed missiles launched from the HIMARS system and unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Stremnaya and Chervonaya Dibrova areas.

Also on May 28, the SF website reported that Kiev forces lost 8 vehicles due to precision attacks by the Russian army using Lancet drones.
Russian sources shared videos of the attacks from May 16 to May 27. The airstrikes damaged or destroyed several pieces of Ukrainian military equipment, including an American-made M113 armored personnel carrier, five armored vehicles, and two modified SUVs.
Lancet suicide drones precisely target Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment.
ZALA Aero, a subsidiary of the Kalashnikov giant, has produced two versions of the Lancet drone, the Izdeliye-52 with a 30-minute endurance and a 1kg warhead; the Izdeliye-51 is a larger version with a 40-minute endurance and a 3kg warhead.
Since the start of the special military operation, the Russian military has used Lancet drones to destroy high-value targets of Kiev forces such as artillery, main battle tanks, air defense systems and radars. However, recently the target range has been expanded to include light vehicles.
Ukraine's efforts to stop the drones with anti-aircraft fire, electronic warfare systems and various countermeasures have so far been largely unsuccessful.
