The meeting was connected online from the Government headquarters to 49 provinces and centrally-run cities with important national and key projects in the transport sector. Reporting at the meeting, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh said that the Steering Committee monitors 37 projects with 95 component projects, including 35 projects in the road sector and 2 projects in the aviation sector. To date, 19 projects/component projects have been put into operation. The projects under construction are basically following the set schedule. However, some projects have not yet completed site clearance, technical infrastructure relocation, etc. Therefore, localities need to be more determined to completely complete site clearance, technical infrastructure relocation and supply of construction materials, especially for 11 expressway projects scheduled for completion in 2025.
Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh once again emphasized the multifaceted importance of promoting transport infrastructure projects. Accordingly, the projects serve the country's three strategic breakthroughs; meet development requirements, bring benefits to localities; are a driving force to promote economic growth from 8% in 2025 and double digits in the coming years; implement resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee, Politburo, National Assembly, Government, and directions of the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also emphasized that the basic objectives of the projects remain unchanged, ensuring and accelerating progress, improving quality, not increasing capital, not prolonging, not engaging in corruption, negativity, waste, ensuring safety, hygiene and environment. At the same time, the Prime Minister also pointed out 10 key groups of tasks that need to be implemented in the coming time for the projects. In particular, the Prime Minister requested to focus on promoting the highest sense of responsibility, mobilizing the entire political system to accelerate progress and complete site clearance for the projects.
