The above model applies to food service establishments and street food vendors around school gates, including: restaurants, food stalls, cooked food vendors, street vendors, etc.
The model's implementation area in Hang Trong ward includes the following schools: Tran Quoc Toan Primary School, Trang An Primary School, Thang Tam Kindergarten, Hoan Kiem Secondary School; the entirety of Nha Chung Street, Nha Tho Street, Ly Quoc Su Street; the square in front of the Grand Cathedral; and the section of Quang Trung Street opposite Tay Son flower garden.

In Trang Tien ward, the area surrounding Tran Phu High School includes: the entire Trang Tien alley; the section from Nguyen Khac Can street to Phan Chu Trinh street; and the section from Hai Ba Trung street to Trang Tien alley.
The Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department, Hoan Kiem district, Hang Trong ward, and Trang Tien ward have proactively developed plans to implement the model.
Hoan Kiem District organized a conference to implement the plan for local departments, organizations, and food service businesses, including street food vendors, participating in the model, with a total of 150 attendees. Simultaneously, the district reviewed, compiled, and categorized all food service businesses and street food vendors around school gates in Trang Tien and Hang Trong wards.
After the review, there were 81 restaurants and food stalls and 24 street food vendors, with 25 establishments managed by the city level; 46 by the district level; and 34 by the ward level.
The Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department, in coordination with Hoan Kiem district, organized an assessment of food safety knowledge for 200 food producers and businesses.
As a result, 167 out of 200 people (83.5%) were assessed as having knowledge of food safety; two training courses were organized for business owners and processing staff of 105 establishments around school gates in Trang Tien and Hang Trong wards; and four direct awareness campaigns were conducted for 240 food business owners and consumers.
In addition, there were 5 talks and thematic activities on food safety, providing information on the food safety control model around school gates at 5 schools implementing the model: Tran Quoc Toan Primary School, Trang An Primary School, Thang Tam Kindergarten, Hoan Kiem Secondary School and Tran Phu High School.
The organizing units printed and distributed 1,000 leaflets providing guidance on food safety regulations for food service establishments and street food vendors around schools.
The Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department collected 50 food samples (20 ready-to-eat food samples, 20 pre-packaged food samples, food packaging and containers, and 10 samples of vendors' hands) from food service establishments and street food vendors around school gates in Trang Tien and Hang Trong wards for testing.
