Members of the monitoring team measure light in a classroom at Nguyen Khuyen Primary School.

The delegation inspected schools in Chau Thanh district and Tay Ninh city, including: Ba Den secondary school, Chu Van An secondary school, Chau Thanh town secondary school, Nguyen Trai secondary school, Dong Khoi secondary school and Nguyen Hien, Nguyen Khuyen, Hoang Le Kha, Tran Quoc Toan primary schools.

Through practical inspection, it is shown that schools have developed school health care activity plans, established student health care committees and steering committees for building safe schools to prevent accidents and injuries; and built relationships between schools and the community in student health care...

Schools have their own medical rooms, with basic equipment and essential medicines fully provided according to regulations; only Tran Quoc Toan Primary School and Dong Khoi Secondary School have medical staff, the remaining schools do not.

Schools provide students with enough drinking water and domestic water; clean toilets; canteen staff undergo annual health check-ups. In addition, schools prepare appropriate communication and health education materials to be used for communication and integration into class activities as well as flag-raising ceremonies at the beginning of the week.

The inspection team reminded and noted that schools need to overcome some issues such as: Strengthening the Student Health Care Board; many schools still lack medical staff; need to add study lights, ensure lighting in some classrooms and subject rooms; develop coordination regulations between schools and health stations; classify waste in each classroom and school yard; need to ensure food samples are kept according to regulations; arrange enough water taps and hand soap for students...

Through the monitoring period, schools need to pay more attention to school health activities, contributing to promoting the development of school health work, improving the quality of education, caring for and protecting the health of students in schools.
