Checking extra teaching and learning at a series of educational institutions

(NLDO) - The inspection team on tutoring and supplementary classes from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training and the Ministry of Education and Training will conduct inspections at 21 district and county education departments, Thu Duc City, and 16 high schools.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, from March 17 to March 31, inspection teams from the department will conduct on-site inspections at 21 district and county education departments, Thu Duc City, and 16 high schools in the area.

The inspection focused on the guidance and management of the Departments of Education and Training in implementing Circular 29/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training and Official Dispatch 10/2025 of the Prime Minister on strengthening guidance on secondary and high school enrollment and managing extracurricular tutoring within their respective areas of responsibility.

Specifically, the review will examine the implementation of regulations on tutoring before Circular 29 was issued, the number of licensed tutoring facilities in the area; the current situation, difficulties, and management solutions... Since Circular 29 was issued, the number of new organizations and individuals registering businesses in the area; and the coordination with relevant agencies to advise the People's Committee on issuing local regulations on tutoring...

Binh Tan District (Ho Chi Minh City) recently inspected and discovered numerous violations related to tutoring and supplementary education activities.

Other inspection contents include: Guidance and organization of the implementation of regulations on supplementary teaching and learning for schools, organizations, and individuals involved; issuance of guiding documents and implementation of Circular 29; information dissemination and propaganda to ensure schools and parents understand the regulations of the circular; directing schools to review and adjust the development of school education plans, ensuring that the allocation of teaching hours for teachers is consistent with the allocated budget; financial management and management of supplementary teaching outside of school; reviewing and gathering information on the implementation of regulations on supplementary teaching and learning in schools...

According to the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, for this inspection, each district education department will select one primary school and one secondary school; Thu Duc City will select two primary schools and two secondary schools. The high schools included are: Ten Lơ Man, Nguyen Thi Dieu, Ngo Quyen, Luong Van Can, Nguyen Du, Hung Vuong, Binh Chanh, Mac Dinh Chi, Tran Phu, Phu Nhuan, Tran Van Giau, Tran Hung Dao, Ho Thi Bi, Vo Truong Toan, Thu Duc, and Duong Van Thi.
