Check and supervise compliance with food safety laws and regulations

On the morning of September 22, the Food Safety and Hygiene Department (Department of Health) coordinated with the Department of Education and Training, the Economic Police Department (Provincial Police) to inspect and supervise the compliance with legal regulations on food safety for school kitchens; monitor the risk of food contamination for food products served during the Mid-Autumn Festival at Vu Phuc Kindergarten and Vu Phuc Primary School, Vu Phuc Ward.

The inspection team supervised the implementation of food safety regulations at Vu Phuc Kindergarten (Vu Phuc ward).

According to the report, Vu Phuc Kindergarten currently serves 380 meals/day; Vu Phuc Primary School currently serves 785 meals/day. Both schools have signed food supply contracts with reputable organizations and individuals, with sufficient legal basis to control food sources from the input, ensuring quality and safety.

Through inspection, both units have properly implemented all conditions for ensuring food safety according to regulations; input materials have contracts with suppliers, clear origin, imported food is processed and used within the day. The delegation requested that in the coming time, schools continue to arrange kitchens according to the one-way principle; equip more tables, stainless steel sinks, exhaust fans, gas stoves; expand the area for dividing cooked food, design a separate dining room for boarding. At the same time, strengthen supervision and strictly control the source of raw materials, especially fresh food.   Combined with inspection work,   The delegation has promoted awareness and responsibility of cadres, teachers and employees in ensuring food safety.
