Check some 220kV and 500kV lines and transformer stations

The delegation inspected the operation at the 220kV Thot Not transformer station, Thot Not district.

Western Power Transmission 1 is currently managing and operating 2 500kV lines and 12 220kV lines along with 1 500kV transformer station and 4 220kV stations in Can Tho City. And in order for these projects to operate safely and smoothly, serving the need for stable power supply for the city before, during and after the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the Inspection Team has inspected the operation at the Thot Not 220kV transformer station; at the same time, inspected the actual situation at many projects under construction of expressways and provincial roads located in or near the safety corridor of the 220kV and 500kV power grids. Specifically, the Delegation inspected the 220kV Thot Not - Long Xuyen and Thot Not - Chau Doc lines in Vinh Trinh commune, Vinh Thanh district, where the road connecting National Highway 80 to Vinh Thanh industrial park is currently under construction, near the safety corridor of the 220kV line; inspected the 220kV Rach Gia - O Mon 2 line and the 220kV Thot Not - Rach Gia line... where it intersects with the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway under construction. Thereby, the Inspection Delegation requested the construction units of provincial traffic routes and expressways located in the high-voltage power grid corridor to ensure a minimum distance of 4 meters from the power line to the nearest point of equipment, tools, and means of work in the high-voltage power grid safety protection corridor; At the same time, provide instructions and install electrical safety warning signs for people performing construction tasks at projects located in or near the high-voltage power grid managed by Western Power Transmission 1...

In order to prevent new cases of violations of the safety corridor of the 220kV and 500kV high-voltage grid, the Western Power Transmission 1 has increased coordination with the city's functional branches to promote propaganda and dissemination of legal regulations on protecting the safety of high-voltage grids to organizations, construction units and people living in or near high-voltage grids... Thereby, preventing violations of house construction, construction, kite flying, scaffolding, advertising billboards, tree planting... in and near the safety corridor of the high-voltage grid.
