Kien Giang: Returning wallet dropped by Korean tourist

(CTO) - A Korean tourist couple received back their wallet that they lost in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, after a tourist picked it up and cooperated with the police to return it.

On April 24, Duong Dong Ward Police, Phu Quoc City, said they had just returned the property to a Korean tourist after a local resident found it and reported it.

Previously, at 3:45 p.m. on April 23, at Dinh Cau beach, Duong Dong ward, Mr. Tran Tin Nghia (51 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City, traveling in Phu Quoc City) picked up a wallet containing 1 million Korean Won (equivalent to nearly 19 million VND), a credit card and many personal documents. Immediately after that, Mr. Nghia brought it to Duong Dong ward police station to report and asked for police support to find the person who lost the property.

Duong Dong Ward Police coordinated with the Working Group of the Immigration Management Department of Kien Giang Province Police to determine that the wallet picked up by Mr. Nghia belonged to Mr. Son Yong Ho (65 years old, Korean nationality) who was staying at a hotel in Duong Dong Ward. Previously, Mr. Son Yong Ho and his wife, Ms. Bokhee, visited Dinh Cau beach and dropped the wallet.

At the police station, after the identity confirmation procedures, the wallet was returned to its owner by the Duong Dong Ward Police. Mr. Son Yong Ho expressed his emotions and sent his sincere thanks to Mr. Nghia and the police force for their assistance in finding the property.
