Comrade Pham Phuoc Trai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: In 2024, the province's export turnover to the US market will reach nearly 169 million USD, accounting for about 30% of the province's total export turnover. The current 46% tax imposed by the US will cause difficulties for some businesses and affect export turnover to the US market. However, Vietnam continues to negotiate and promote balanced, stable and sustainable trade relations with the US, and this is an opportunity for businesses in the province to restructure their businesses, diversify markets, diversify products, and diversify supply chains.

In the first months of 2025 alone, the province's export situation increased quite well. The total import-export turnover in the first 4 months of 2025 is estimated at nearly 568 million USD, an increase of 20.86% over the same period. Of which, the export value is estimated at over 171.81 million USD, mainly processed and manufactured goods such as garments, footwear products, handbags, frozen seafood, electric transmission systems used in automobiles; the import value is estimated at over 396 million USD, mainly machinery and equipment, production materials and fuels, consumer goods.
