On the side of Binh Phuoc province, there were alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thi Hang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien.
On June 4, 1975, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Security Department, authorized by the Central Security Department of the Southern Region, issued Decision No. 108/QD on the merger of the two armed security groups 235P and 237P together with the local armed forces into the Binh Phuoc Provincial Armed Security Force, with the task of maintaining security and order and protecting the national border. The Binh Phuoc Provincial Armed Security Force (now the Binh Phuoc Provincial Border Guard) was established in the face of numerous difficulties, hardships and shortages, but generations of officers and soldiers were always united, joined forces, unanimously, persistently stuck to their positions, and successfully completed the task of managing and protecting the national border.

Over half a century, the Binh Phuoc Border Guard has always maintained its core and specialized role in the management and protection of national territorial sovereignty and border security. Over the past years, the Binh Phuoc Border Guard has advised its superiors well in implementing the movement "All people participate in protecting national border sovereignty and security" and "National Border Guard Day". In addition, many practical models have been maintained.
Thousands of officers and soldiers participated in rescue, house and road repair, natural disaster relief, etc., affirming the image of soldiers in green uniforms always accompanying and sharing with the people, contributing to maintaining security and improving life in border areas.


With a resilient spirit, Binh Phuoc Border Guard always excellently completes its tasks and is awarded the Feat of Arms Medal, Second and Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal by the Party and State.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Lai Xuan Mon praised the achievements of the Binh Phuoc Border Guard, and emphasized that Binh Phuoc is a locality with a particularly important strategic position in terms of national defense, security, economy and foreign affairs, playing an important role in the task of maintaining border security, protecting the integrity of national sovereignty and territory. Through many historical periods, generations of officers and soldiers of the Binh Phuoc Border Guard have continuously grown, developed and achieved many outstanding achievements.

Comrade Lai Xuan Mon suggested that the Binh Phuoc Border Guard proactively grasp and forecast the situation; promptly advise and accurately handle situations, not to be passive or surprised. Strengthen propaganda and education work, raise awareness and responsibility, create unity in ideology and action of Party committees, authorities and people of all walks of life for the task of protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security, especially in the districts and border communes of the province. In addition, build the force in the direction of "elite, compact, strong, effective, efficient, high combat readiness", meeting the requirements of border work and army building in the new situation.
On this occasion, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in managing and protecting national border security and sovereignty were awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province.
Binh Phuoc Provincial Border Guard is assigned to manage and protect more than 258km of border with 3 provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia: Mondulkiri, Kratie, Tboung Khmum.
