On May 22, the 15th National Assembly opened its 5th Session at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House. Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that the 5th Session has a huge amount of work, many important contents, high requirements for quality and completion progress. Right after the 4th Session, the National Assembly Party Delegation and the Government Party Committee have led and directed the agencies of the National Assembly and the Government to closely coordinate with each other and with relevant agencies from an early stage to actively prepare the highest quality contents for the National Assembly to consider and decide.
The session received special attention from voters and people nationwide, who expected important national issues to be considered and resolved promptly and thoroughly.

Regarding this issue, in an interview with the reporter of the Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper, National Assembly Delegate Ta Van Ha, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, said: This session has many important contents. In particular, it discusses solutions to recover and develop the economy as quickly as possible, and control inflation. In the context of facing a global economic recession, we must find solutions to break through and develop the country's economy. In addition, the contents are also very important at the 5th Session, that is, the National Assembly considers a number of draft laws directly related to people and businesses, which are of particular interest to public opinion. In particular, there is the draft Land Law (amended). The National Assembly decides on adjustments related to the decision to allocate capital according to Resolution 43 on the Program for economic and social recovery and development as well as the allocation of central budget capital according to 3 national target programs...
“I believe that these are policies that are expected to be important resources in the current difficult times to create momentum for economic growth and solve employment in the coming time,” said National Assembly Delegate Ta Van Ha.
National Assembly Delegate Hoang Van Cuong.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the National Assembly, assessing the way the 5th Session was organized in two phases, National Assembly Delegate Hoang Van Cuong ( Hanoi delegation) stated: The organization of the National Assembly Session is becoming more and more effective. This session arranged the contents that need to be discussed and approved in the previous stage; after the National Assembly discussed, there was a week for specialized agencies, drafting agencies, and Committees to absorb and revise, and carefully prepare the opinions of National Assembly Delegates. Thus, by the end of the Session, those draft laws had been absorbed in the most complete and accurate way. In addition, the gap in between is also the time for non-professional National Assembly Delegates to have time to handle work at their agencies. Thus, it will create conditions to handle work for National Assembly Delegates and create better conditions for delegates to work in parallel between the work of the National Assembly and work in their localities. It can be seen that the organization of this Session does not waste time but improves the effectiveness of the National Assembly's activities.
National Assembly Delegate Pham Van Hoa shared with the press in the hallway of the National Assembly.
Sharing about the session, National Assembly Delegate Pham Van Hoa (Dong Thap delegation) highly appreciated the fact that the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly agencies and National Assembly Delegates have continued to promote a high sense of responsibility, from early on, from afar, not afraid of hardship with the spirit of "doing all the work, not running out of time" to ensure thorough and thoughtful preparation for the 5th Session. National Assembly Delegations and National Assembly Delegates also always listen to and grasp the thoughts, aspirations and opinions of the people and voters to synthesize and promptly reflect to the National Assembly, bringing the voices of voters to the parliament.
In addition, the legislative work at this Session is both large in quantity and requires high quality. As planned, the National Assembly will consider and pass 8 laws, 3 Resolutions and give opinions on 9 other draft laws. According to Delegate Pham Van Hoa, the contents that the National Assembly gives opinions on at this Session are all important issues, requiring early resolution, accurately reflecting the requirements of current life. In particular, the draft Land Law (amended) has attracted great attention from voters. The draft submitted to the National Assembly this time has been amended, absorbed and improved positively compared to the draft submitted to the National Assembly for comments at the 4th Session, but there are still some contents that need to be further studied and improved to deeply reflect the spirit of Resolution No. 18/NQ-TW.
Delegate Pham Van Hoa hopes that through discussions at the session, the National Assembly will come up with effective solutions and policies to remove difficulties for businesses and people, and promote economic growth. “The results of the session will be the basis and premise to remove bottlenecks, contributing significantly to the effective implementation of socio-economic goals,” the National Assembly Delegate from Dong Thap emphasized.
