On April 22, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to consider the investment policy for the project to build the DT.729 road connecting Lam Dong - Binh Thuan and the Thanh My - Lien Nghia urban road project proposed by the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board (PPMB).

For the DT 729 road project, the Management Board of AGTT proposed 2 options with different scales and capital. Of which, option 1 is built on the scale of a grade IV mountainous road, with a design speed of 40 km/h, a 9m wide roadbed, a 6m wide road surface with a total investment of 1,060 billion VND;
This plan ensures investment is synchronous with the current status of DH11 road at the beginning of the route and the scale at the intersection at the end of DT.729 road (intersection with DT.729 road which has been invested by Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee with a scale of 9m wide roadbed and 8m wide road surface).
Option 2 is also proposed to build a grade IV mountain road, with a design speed of 40km/h, a 7.5m wide roadbed, and a 5.5m wide road surface. With this option, the total proposed investment is about 868 billion VND.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, currently, DT.729 road is only exploited in sections, not the entire route, many sections have not been built synchronously, have degraded, making it difficult to move, affecting people's travel, especially during the rainy season.
The total length of the above route is about 25.8 km (about 10.7 km of new construction and 15.1 km of upgrading and expansion). Of the 2 options, the BQLDAAGTT proposes to implement option 1 with an investment capital of about 1,060 billion VND to ensure synchronous investment with the current scale of DH11 road.
The Thanh My - Lien Nghia urban connecting road project is proposed to be nearly 13 km long from Tu Tra commune (Don Duong district) to Lien Nghia town (Duc Trong district) with a roadbed width of 12 m, road surface width of 8 m and will be implemented in the period 2025 - 2028.
The BQLDAGTT estimates the total investment for this route to be 567 billion VND from the provincial budget. Of which, site clearance costs are 63 billion VND, contingency costs are 67 billion VND, construction costs are 404 billion VND, and the rest is other costs.
