Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued an urgent document announcing the assignment of Provincial People's Committee leaders to respond to storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi).
Implementing the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 208 dated November 4 on proactive prevention, avoidance and response to storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi) and Official Dispatch No. 26 dated November 5 of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee on deploying emergency response measures to storm Kalmaegi, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi assigned tasks to be on duty in the central, eastern and western areas of the province.
Specifically, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, along with leaders of the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police and leaders of a number of departments and branches directly in Area 1 - the political and administrative center of Lam Dong province.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh is in charge of area 2 - the east of the province and Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen is in charge of area 3 - the west of the province; along with a number of relevant departments, branches and units.
Lam Dong province has a coastline of more than 190km, with nearly 8,300 fishing boats in operation. By 3:00 p.m. on November 6, the entire province had 3,174 fishing boats safely taking shelter from storm Kalmaegi.
The task of the shift is to closely monitor, fully update, and promptly inform about the situation and forecast the development of storm Kalmaegi to proactively respond; direct local authorities in the province to deploy solutions to promptly respond to natural disasters; direct the preparation of forces, means, and materials according to the "4 on-site" motto to respond and overcome incidents promptly and effectively when required; direct the inspection and review of forces, materials, means, and deploy plans to ensure traffic safety in case of prolonged rain and floods.

At the same time, direct the strict implementation of the contents of the operating procedures for reservoirs, inter-reservoirs for irrigation and hydropower; plans to respond to natural disasters, plans to respond to emergency situations approved by competent authorities; direct the implementation of plans to ensure the safety of reservoirs, irrigation and hydropower dams in accordance with the developments of rain and floods; focus on directing the operation of irrigation and hydropower reservoirs to ensure the safety of works and downstream areas, especially in emergency flood discharge situations.

Direct the inspection and review of coastal residential areas, streams, low-lying areas at risk of flooding , flash floods, and landslides to proactively deploy response measures and minimize damage.
