Lam Ha: Organizing a conference to rate 10 OCOP products

(LĐ online) - On August 15, Lam Ha District People's Committee held a conference to evaluate OCOP products (phase 1) in 2024 for households and businesses.

According to the report, 2024 is the 6th year of implementing the OCOP Program in Lam Ha district. Basically, communes and towns in the district have grasped the purpose and significance of developing OCOP products in the goal of building new rural areas in the locality.

Through participating in the production, processing and consumption chain of OCOP products, farmers increase their knowledge and agricultural production techniques to create high-quality raw materials and high yields, bringing better economic efficiency to producers.

Up to now, Lam Ha district has a total of 34 products of 23 entities (14 enterprises, 6 cooperatives, 3 production and business establishments) in the communes of Gia Lam, Nam Ha, Phu Son, Da Don, Phuc Tho, Hoai Duc, Tan Ha, Dan Phuong, Lien Ha, Tan Thanh and Nam Ban town that have been recognized by competent authorities as OCOP products (13 4-star OCOP products, 21 3-star OCOP products).

At the conference, members of the OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council of departments and districts studied and carefully reviewed the products to evaluate and score them strictly, objectively and transparently. In addition, the evaluation of products with many improvements in quality, diverse designs, ensuring conditions and regulations on stamps, labels, and product traceability.

Products are evaluated and classified as OCOP in Lam Ha district.

Specifically, the Lam Ha District OCOP Council organized the evaluation and classification of OCOP products in the district (phase 1) in 2024 with 10 products of 5 entities in 4 communes: Hoai Duc, Me Linh, Da Don and Gia Lam participating.

Based on the appraisal results, the District-level OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council has evaluated 7 products to meet 3-star OCOP standards; 3 products continue to guide the Owner to complete the dossier based on the comments of the Council members to submit to the Provincial Product Evaluation and Classification Council for recognition as 4 stars.

Mr. Le Van Thiem - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lam Ha district suggested that in the coming time, localities and entities continue to coordinate with specialized departments to complete the dossier for the evaluation council to submit to the District People's Committee for recognition of 3-star OCOP products at the district level, at the same time, continue to innovate promotion methods, expand production scale, further enhance product value, gradually shift production towards a market economy, create new directions in trading traditional products with advantages in rural areas.
