On the afternoon of April 11, the leader of the People's Committee of Hue City (Thua Thien - Hue) said that he had received feedback from parents about the meals for boarding students at Quang Trung Primary School being too small and not ensuring nutrition. In the immediate future, the unit will direct specialized agencies to inspect and verify the information to have appropriate handling if there are violations.

Previously, parents of Quang Trung Primary School (Hue City) reported that their children's daily meals were far inferior to those sold on the sidewalk.

A female parent whose child is studying in grade 3 at Quang Trung Primary School shared that she almost cried when she saw the image of her child's lunch at school with only 2-3 pieces of boiled pork ribs, fried egg patties, stir-fried beans and white rice.

Parents said that they have to pay 27,000 VND/student per day, including a lunch and a box of yogurt in the early afternoon. In addition, each student has to pay an additional 10,000 VND/meal to support the staff, teachers, and gas, fish sauce, salt, etc. The total amount of money that parents have to pay to Quang Trung Primary School for a day of lunch is 37,000 VND/student.

According to these parents, this is not the first time they have complained about the poor quality of the school's meals. The parents request that this matter be clarified.
