According to verification from Loc Dien Secondary School (Loc Dien commune), the female student who was beaten by the group was MTTT, a 7th grade student, and the group of students participating in the beating included students from the school and another school in Phu Loc district.
MTTT female student was beaten and dragged on the ground. Photo cut from clip.
The cause was due to a conflict between female students MTTT and P.D.DH (both studying at Loc Dien Secondary School). Previously, on October 19, DH had driven a bicycle into TT, causing T's cell phone to fall and crack the screen. Afterwards, female student T went to H's house to request compensation for the damaged phone and met DH's father, Mr. PVM, but Mr. M did not agree and asked the two students to resolve the matter themselves.
The incident led to a conflict between P.D.DD and MTTT, after which DH and his friends beat T outside the school and filmed the clip. The location where T was beaten was identified as next to the Container Coffee Shop, Loc An Commune, Phu Loc District.
It is known that there were 7 female students participating in the beating of MTTT, including 4 female students in grade 7 of Loc Dien Secondary School and 3 female students (grade 8 and grade 9) of Loc An Secondary School. When the incident occurred, there was also a male student from Loc Dien Secondary School who was with the group but did not participate in the beating.
On the morning of October 24, Loc Dien Secondary School held a meeting with students and parents of students involved in the beating of MTTT. Also attending were local authorities, local police, and representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Loc district. Currently, because T is being examined at the hospital, some information will have to be verified when the student's report is available. In the immediate future, at the meeting, the parents agreed to cooperate with the authorities to clarify and resolve the incident; at the same time, they committed to compensate for the examination and treatment costs for T. In the afternoon of the same day, the parents and school representatives visited and apologized to MTTT and her family.
Parents visited MTTT female students on the afternoon of October 24.
Loc Dien Secondary School said that after receiving official information from the authorities, based on the rules and regulations ofthe education sector, the school will have disciplinary action and appropriate handling measures for female students who violate the regulations.
Previously, on October 23, video clips appeared on Facebook showing a female student of MTTT being brutally beaten by a group of female students. Student T had her hair pulled, was beaten, had her shirt ripped off and was dragged on the ground. The incident caused outrage in the local community and public opinion.
