Dalat orchid

Paphiopedilina belongs to the orchid family (orchidaceae), because the central calyx has a bag shape that looks like a slipper (feudal women's shoe). In the world, there are currently about 80 species, distributed in South China, India, Southeast Asia and the Pacific islands, they form a subtribe called Paphiopedilinae.

According to statistics, Vietnam has about 14 species of orchids such as: Thai orchid, beautiful orchid, cloud orchid, spotted orchid, pink orchid, white orchid, green orchid, dwarf orchid, northern orchid, hiep orchid, hairy orchid, bearded orchid, purple orchid and yellow orchid.

Paphiopedilum orchids are extremely rare, with noble colors, pure fragrance, unique shapes, high aesthetic, scientific and economic value... so many species are being hunted and are at risk of extinction.

Da Lat - the largest flower conservation and production center in the country, with a cool climate all year round, has a 132-year-old traditional flower growing profession, and is currently preserving and cultivating 14 species of Vietnamese slipper orchids and dozens of imported slipper orchid species.
