Mi Hong Company increased the buying price of SJC gold bars by 300,000 VND to 122.6 million VND and the selling price by 500,000 VND to 123.8 million VND… The difference between the buying and selling price of gold bars is now 1.6 million VND per tael.
Similarly, SJC Company did not change the price of gold rings, buying at 116.8 million VND and selling at 119.4 million VND. Phu Quy Company increased the price of gold rings by 200,000 VND per tael, buying at 116.9 million VND and selling at 119.9 million VND…

Global gold prices edged down $4 to $3,378 per ounce after a sharp rise of $35 per ounce in US trading (night of August 5th). Speculators returned to gold after a sell-off in stocks. Gold fell back after the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) services PMI dropped to 50.1 in July, compared with 50.8 in June and lower than expectations of 51.5. The US services sector weakened last month as business activity, employment, and price pressures worsened amid concerns about tariffs.
According to the World Gold Council (WGC), central banks reported net purchases of 22 tonnes of gold in June through the IMF, not including other public safe-haven investments in the precious metal, bringing net gold purchases to 123 tonnes in the first half of 2025. However, this figure is still slightly lower than the same period last year compared to the first half of 2024. Uzbekistan purchased 9 tonnes of gold bullion in June, while Kazakhstan purchased 7 tonnes. Other notable gold buyers included the Czech Republic, China, and Türkiye, each purchasing 2 tonnes during the month, while Ghana, Qatar, the Philippines, and Kyrgyzstan each added one ton.
