Lan Nha speaks up when concert ticket prices are as high as My Tam and Ha Anh Tuan

After 15 years in the profession, Lan Nha organized his own concert, but was embroiled in controversy because of the high price. The male singer apologized to the audience, explained the reason and revealed the surprises of the concert night.

On the evening of November 4, singer Lan Nha had a livestream to chat with the audience and share about two music projects: album Nha 2025, Nha Concert will take place on November 7 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace (Hanoi) and Hoa Binh Theater, Ho Chi Minh City on December 20.

During the livestream, Lan Nha shared his journey in the past 15 years. The male singer said that during that time, he worked as a voice actor for about 7 or 8 years, and only sang a lot from 2017, 2018 until now.

He confided: "During the time I was singing, I felt like I was truly doing my job, living more with music and the audience. It brought me a lot of special emotions, my perspective on the job, on music, and on the audience. Those are the sources of encouragement, the real values ​​that sometimes I cannot find in life. When I stand on stage, looking at everyone's eyes looking at me, feeling the expectations when I sing, I feel happy. So I think this is a beautiful time, I want to do something meaningful at this time."

The male singer revealed that there will be many guests attending the concert in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The album Nha 2025 was nurtured by Lan Nha for more than two years, with the participation of big names in the music industry. The album was completely arranged by musician Hoai Sa. The sound processing (mix) was done by musician Duc Tri and Korean-American sound engineer Sangwook “Sunny” Nam, completing the final adjustment (master). The album includes 8 completely new songs, considered a milestone in Lan Nha's career, reflecting the changes in his emotions, perceptions and experiences throughout his career.

Lan Nha said he always receives comments about why he mostly sings old songs and rarely releases new music. He affirmed that he always loves old music and love songs that live with the years, and his future career will be the same. But this time he wants to send the audience more new songs that suit his mood and inner harmony. Album Nha 2025 will also have a vinyl version.

Lan Nha apologizes

After the album introduction, Lan Nha shared about the upcoming concert. Previously, the crew announced the ticket prices for the concert in Hanoi (ranging from 2.5 million VND - 4.2 million VND), causing controversy on social networks, especially when it was held close to the time of My Tam and Ha Anh Tuan but the ticket prices were quite high.

The singer born in 1986 said he has no tricks, he just knows how to sing.

Lan Nha repeatedly apologized and confided: “I rarely use the internet, only use messenger (text messages) to communicate for work, so sometimes I am slower than everyone else, not knowing much information around me. I think that each person like Ms. Tam, Mr. Tuan or myself has their own audience. After a period of working, singing and standing on many different stages, I also feel that very clearly. I don't understand why this year there are so many brothers and sisters doing concerts like that, but for me, this is the first time I have done a concert for myself. The crew tried to lower the price as much as possible. At the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace (Hanoi), the number of seats is less than at the Hoa Binh Theater, the cost of moving sound, lighting, orchestra from Ho Chi Minh City... Everything has increased a lot so the ticket price has to be higher. But after this concert, I will definitely do tea room nights with more accessible ticket prices."

The male singer affirmed that he is not good at tricks. For him, the most important thing for a singer is still the voice and the sincerity in each song. Admitting that he is not good at speaking, Lan Nha believes that the audience has loved him all this time because of his simplicity and natural, unadorned singing style. In response to the opinion that Lan Nha's promotion of this concert was quite weak, some people even thought this was just a lounge music night and were surprised to see the high ticket prices. Only when they clicked on the link did they know that it was a large-scale concert held in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In response to this suggestion, Lan Nha said he understood the audience's feelings. He said: "Having a solo concert this time is a completely new step, so Nha certainly has a lot to learn from experience, especially in the promotion stage." In addition, Lan Nha also added that he temporarily stopped accepting schedules for tea room performances and ticket sales shows during this period to devote all his time to practicing for the concert.
