Speaking at the signing ceremony, Director of the Department of International Cooperation Nguyen Phuong Hoa affirmed that telling Vietnam's story to the world is no longer limited to traditional diplomatic activities but requires effective use of digital technology platforms and modern technical advances to spread to new audiences, especially young people around the world. TikTok, with billions of users and the ability to create strong influence, has become a partner to help convey the image of Vietnam in a more vivid, closer and accessible way.

One of the highlights of the memorandum of understanding is the coordination of promoting the Vietnam Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka. This is an important international event taking place over six months, with the participation of more than 160 countries and international organizations, and is expected to attract about 28 million visitors.

Vietnam Exhibition House is designed as a storytelling space, introducing identity, development achievements, cooperation potential in the fields of tourism , trade and investment... through the language of art, technology and multimedia communication.

According to statistics, on peak days, the Vietnam Exhibition House welcomes about 10,000 visitors, including many leaders of Japanese provinces, cities and localities, investors and international audiences. In addition to art performances and heritage introductions, the exhibition space also hosts business networking activities, displays of creative products, introductions of traditional industries and lively interactive events.

The TikTok platform will play a role in supporting communication, spreading the image of the Vietnam Exhibition House to international friends, especially through digital communication campaigns with the participation of KOLs and content creators. This is also an opportunity for Vietnamese artists to get closer to the international audience, affirming contemporary cultural values alongside traditional heritages.

Increasing the presence of Vietnamese culture at global forums such as EXPO 2025 contributes to affirming the image of a dynamic country, rich in identity, ready to integrate and contribute to the sustainable development of the international community.

Promoting Vietnamese culture in the digital environment.

Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok Vietnam, shared that in the seven years of operating in Vietnam, TikTok has always accompanied management agencies in promoting heritage, cultural destinations and unique artistic activities. For the first time, through cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, we have the opportunity to contribute to building the image of Vietnam within a global framework such as EXPO 2025.

Not only stopping at EXPO 2025 Osaka, promoting Vietnamese culture in the digital environment will be a long-term strategy to help culture become soft power in international exchanges. Typical values such as folk art, traditional cuisine, national costumes, customs, rituals, etc. will be recreated from a modern, accessible perspective, creating an intuitive, vivid and profound experience of Vietnamese cultural identity.

In addition to supporting communications at EXPO 2025, TikTok will organize training and skills training on digital platforms for the human resources of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with communication capacity in the digital age.

With the development of artificial intelligence, virtual reality and new performance technologies, cultural transmission today is no longer limited to traditional forms but is expanding into the fields of digital interaction, virtual experiences and social media. The cooperation between cultural management agencies and digital platforms shows an open and flexible vision in Vietnam's approach to cultural diplomacy. This is a new approach, contributing to promoting the country's image in an authentic way, close to modern language.
