Spread the green forest atmosphere

This year's forest planting season in Quang Ninh took place in the previous context, over 128,000 hectares of forest were damaged by storm No. 3 Yagi, resulting in a huge demand and requirement to accelerate the progress of forest planting. Currently, forest owners in the area have taken part in planting forests very urgently and resolutely, determined to achieve the highest results to compensate for the damaged forest area, quickly rebuilding the forestry economy as the set goal .

At the launching ceremony of the Tet Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho in the spring of At Ty 2025 of Quang Ninh province held in Dong Dinh village, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district, on February 3, comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that during the implementation process, it is necessary to review, research, and specifically calculate the types of plants suitable for the soil of each area, ensuring sustainability, long-term, serving the livelihoods of people in the future. In particular, during the spring when the weather is favorable for forest trees to grow, afforestation will be carried out simultaneously, reforesting areas devastated by the storm.

Immediately after the launching ceremony of the provincial Tree Planting Festival, on February 7, at the Yen Trung Lake Provincial Tourist Area (Uong Bi City), Comrade Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister attended, shared joy and encouraged the spirit of tree planting and afforestation with officials and people of Quang Ninh Province. Comrade Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister presented Uong Bi City with 1,100 Caribbean pine trees and together with delegates and people in Uong Bi City planted trees right in the landscape areas of Yen Trung Lake. The Deputy Prime Minister called on all agencies, units, localities, officials, party members and people to continue to enthusiastically participate in tree planting right from the first days of spring; plant trees to restore and reconstruct the forest area damaged by storm No. 3; strengthen forest management, care and protection. Thereby, contributing significantly to sustainable socio-economic development associated with environmental protection, multiplying the green color of forests after natural disasters.

From that very urgent general atmosphere, right from the first working day of the new year of At Ty until now, every household, every unit, department, enterprise, and locality in the whole province has enthusiastically launched the planting of scattered trees and afforestation. Mr. Nguyen Van Bong, Deputy Head of the Provincial Forest Protection Department said: This year, due to the specific nature of the forest being destroyed by storm No. 3, the space and demand for afforestation is very large. The conditions for afforestation in terms of seedlings, digging holes, fertilizing... have been fully prepared by the people, just waiting for the rainy weather to focus on implementing afforestation simultaneously. The unit has early identified very clearly the advantages and difficulties in implementing afforestation in the area, promptly advised the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to assign specific afforestation targets to each locality and unit; develop a scenario, a general afforestation plan and require each unit and locality to have a detailed afforestation plan; monitor the progress of afforestation...

Of which, Ba Che Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. planted 300 hectares of various types of forests, including 50 hectares of bamboo, 30 hectares of lim and 220 hectares of acacia forests. Hoanh Bo Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. planted 1,500 hectares of production forests and 350 hectares of protection forests. Tien Yen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. planted 2,000 hectares of production forests and 150 hectares of protection forests. Van Don Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. planted 700 hectares of production forest... Mr. Nguyen Ba Truong, General Director of Hoanh Bo Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. affirmed: In the recent natural disaster, the Company lost up to 3,000 hectares of forest, the damage was too great. However, the spirit of the Company's staff, workers and employees is that the more difficult it is, the more they try, taking difficulties as opportunities, we are determined to replant forests and plant more beautiful, better quality forests on the lost forest areas...

Hoanh Bo Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. prepares over 2 million seedlings and enough fertilizer to be ready for the 2025 forest planting season.

From the time of launching the Spring Tree Planting Festival on February 3 to February 12, the entire Quang Ninh province has planted over 550,000 new scattered trees and forest trees of all kinds. Quang Ninh's goal during this Tree Planting Festival (by the end of the first quarter of 2025) is to plant 1 million new trees, equivalent to 1,000 hectares of forest. In the whole year of 2025, Quang Ninh province aims to strive to plant over 31,847 hectares of concentrated forests, including 2,724 hectares of protective forests; 29,123 hectares of production forests, 2.4 times higher than the forest planting target of 2024. This figure compensates for about 25% of the forest area damaged by the previous storm No. 3.

It can be seen right from the first days and months of the year, the atmosphere of tree planting and afforestation throughout the province has been bustling, exciting, and full of confidence. This is the basis and foundation for Quang Ninh to hope to continue having a successful forest planting season and year, making up for the forest shortage caused by natural disasters, realizing the post-storm forestry reconstruction project that the province is actively implementing.
