On the morning of October 26, the 11th National Emulation Congress of Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers, period 2025-2030 took place in Hanoi .

Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front attended and directed the Congress.

This is a major political event, a great festival of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union, a place to gather, praise and honor typical advanced collectives and individuals, representing the intelligence, mettle and aspirations of tens of millions of union members and workers across the country.

The more difficult it is, the more we must compete.

In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor affirmed: Over the past 5 years, although the country has faced many difficulties, especially the impact of epidemics and natural disasters, the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants and laborers has still developed strongly, comprehensively and persistently.

With the spirit of "The more difficult the situation, the more we must compete", millions of union members and workers have strived to overcome challenges, been creative in their work, making important contributions to economic growth, social stability and improving the status of the Vietnamese working class.

Emulation movements launched by trade unions such as: "Good workers, creative workers", "Practice thrift, fight waste", "Green-clean-beautiful, ensure safety and hygiene at work", or activities such as "Union Shelter", "Happy Tet", "Union member welfare", have become spiritual support, a wave of concrete actions spreading widely to each facility, each workshop, each worker's family.

This congress has the presence of 400 excellent delegates, representing tens of millions of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers across the country, who have constantly innovated, created, overcome difficulties, and contributed to the collective and society. Each person is a beautiful story about the sense of responsibility, love for the profession and the desire to contribute, typical nuclei that create the strong vitality of the patriotic emulation movement.

Over the past 5 years, from emulation movements, thousands of typical and advanced collectives and individuals have been honored and rewarded. Many initiatives and technical solutions have been effectively applied, bringing great economic and social value. Many good models and new ways of doing things have been replicated, clearly demonstrating the creative spirit and mettle of Vietnamese workers in the integration era.

In recent years, the emulation and reward work of the Trade Union organization has had many innovations in content, form and implementation methods. Trade Unions at all levels have closely linked emulation and reward in the spirit of "sowing and harvesting", ensuring practical emulation, timely rewards, avoiding formalities, taking the efficiency and creativity of workers as the measure.

President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed that emulation is not only a slogan but has become a driving force for development, a great spiritual lever to encourage workers, civil servants and laborers to be proactive, creative, dare to think, dare to do, and constantly innovate in production, work and service.

Along with that, trade unions at all levels constantly focus on the grassroots, care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. Humanitarian activities such as gratitude, supporting the poor, supporting people affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, practical welfare programs for union members... continue to be strongly spread, creating a deep impression in society.

Labor productivity is a measure of competition.

In his speech directing the Congress, comrade Do Van Chien emphasized that, imbued with the teachings of beloved President Ho Chi Minh "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, those who emulate are the most patriotic", over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants and laborers has had new, more creative, practical and effective developments.

On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Emulation and Reward Council, comrade Do Van Chien acknowledged, warmly commended and respectfully thanked the great contributions of trade union organizations, workers, civil servants and laborers across the country in the patriotic emulation movements in recent times.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that our country is entering a new era of building a strong, prosperous, civilized, and happy country. The entire Party, people, and army are striving to achieve the goal of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, our country becoming a developed country with modern industry and high average income; 100 years of the country's founding, our country becoming a developed country with high income.

To achieve that goal, comrade Do Van Chien suggested that trade unions need to further promote patriotic emulation movements among workers, civil servants, and laborers, innovate thinking, content, and methods of organizing emulation movements with the spirit of innovation as the driving force, digital transformation as the method, labor productivity as the measure; improved living standards and sustainable employment are the goals of patriotic emulation movements among union members and laborers.

In the new context, the Trade Union organization operates under the common roof of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Comrade Do Van Chien requested that all levels of trade unions thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam: The new model must have new thinking, new ways of doing things, new efficiency and from there, we must truly innovate the emulation and reward work.

Comrade Do Van Chien suggested that the trade union organization focus on implementing 5 key task groups well.

That is: Linking emulation movements with the implementation of political tasks; taking emulation effectiveness as an important criterion to evaluate the capacity and level of task completion of cadres and party members.

Proactively pioneer and take the lead in responding to patriotic emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government and the Central Emulation and Reward Council, in accordance with the practical situation of the trade union organization;

Emulation movements are associated with digital transformation, innovation, human resource development, green production and improving labor productivity. In particular, the heads of Party committees, organizations, agencies and units must truly set an example and organize emulation movements, truly setting an example.

Strengthening propaganda work, discovering, fostering and replicating advanced models, focusing on strongly applying digital technology, open data platforms and social networks to propagate and spread good people, good deeds, good models or creative ways of doing things, arousing and spreading the spirit of patriotic emulation widely in each agency, unit and production and business establishment.

On this occasion, comrade Do Van Chien requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, and leaders of enterprises of all economic sectors to further strengthen leadership, direction, and coordination, creating conditions for trade unions to better carry out patriotic emulation movements in the coming time.

At the Congress, 37 collectives and 43 typical, outstanding, advanced individuals in the national emulation movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the 2020-2025 period were honored.

On this occasion, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang launched the 11th national patriotic emulation movement for workers, civil servants and laborers.
