Speaking at the forum, Ms. Van Thi Kim Tien - an employee of Fuluh Shoes Company Limited (Can Giuoc commune), expressed her thoughts on life and work in the new context. “As a direct production force, we clearly understand the challenges in the modern technology era. Automation, sewing robots, laser cutting machines, 3D design software have gradually changed traditional working methods. That forces workers to constantly learn and improve their skills to adapt,” Ms. Tien shared.
 
Workers express their thoughts and wishes
According to Ms. Tien, the biggest desire of workers today is to have a stable job, an income commensurate with their labor and enough to take care of their family life. “The current income level only meets basic needs. Workers really hope to have more support policies on housing, health care, education , etc. to stabilize and stay with the enterprise for a long time,” Ms. Tien said.
In addition to income, workers also want to take care of their spiritual life through cultural and sports activities, helping to restore their labor force after stressful working hours. Another wish that many workers are interested in is the opportunity to study, retrain and improve their skills to keep up with the digital transformation trend in production. Ms. Tien expressed: "Studying and practicing will help us transform from "hired workers" to "owner workers", confidently mastering technology, not falling behind".
In addition, employees also want to work in a civilized, modern, respectful and sharing environment, and at the same time be recognized and rewarded appropriately for their contributions and initiatives in the labor force. According to Ms. Tien, timely recognition and commendation are not only material rewards but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping employees to be more attached and devoted to the enterprise and society.
Desire of female workers and laborers
At the forum, Ms. Dang Thi Truc Ly - employee of Federal Bay Industrial Joint Stock Company (Gia Loc ward), expressed her opinion on the issue of gender equality in labor - a content that many female employees are interested in.
According to Ms. Truc Ly, currently, most enterprises have implemented gender equality policies quite well in recruitment, training, salary, rewards and welfare regimes. However, in a few units, there is still a certain discrimination between men and women in some job positions. From that reality, Ms. Truc Ly proposed: "It is necessary to perfect legal regulations on gender equality, ensure that all employees are treated fairly in terms of employment opportunities, salary, working conditions, and at the same time clearly define responsibilities and strict sanctions for violating enterprises".
 
With attention and training to improve skills, workers and laborers are confident and work more productively and effectively.
She also hopes that the authorities will strengthen inspection and examination of the implementation of gender equality policies in enterprises, and at the same time have policies to prioritize vocational training support and improve skills for female workers, creating conditions for them to promote their capacity and participate more in management and leadership positions in enterprises.
Opinions at the forum showed that today’s workers not only care about income but also pay attention to the working environment, development opportunities and fairness in treatment. These aspirations demonstrate the sense of responsibility and the consciousness of rising up of the working class in the period of industrialization and modernization.
